Plaintiffs’ Law Firm Litigation Finance, Amicus Capital

For more than 30 years, I have operated at the intersection of law, finance, and legal technology, advising trial-focused law firms and investors as litigation has grown increasingly capital-intensive, data-driven, and competitive.

I have structured and supported over $1 billion in litigation finance transactions across the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union—helping plaintiffs’ firms strengthen balance sheets, stabilize cash flow, manage portfolio risk, and pursue larger, longer-duration matters without sacrificing strategic or operational control.

Through Amicus Capital Group, I work directly with law firm owners on:

  • Litigation finance and portfolio-level funding

  • Growth capital and liquidity for contingent-fee practices

  • Risk modeling and financial planning for trial-focused firms

  • Post-settlement and balance-sheet optimization solutions

In parallel, I have built and advised investment vehicles that provide non-lawyers access to litigation finance as an alternative asset class, offering exposure to a historically uncorrelated, asset-backed strategy when structured responsibly.

My perspective is shaped by decades of experience as an operator, capital provider, and investor, including leadership roles in mass tort investing, legal technology, and alternative law firm models. I focus on practical, transparent structures that align capital with outcomes—without compromising ethics, compliance, or the long-term health of law firms.
