Michelle is a Managing Director at West U Capital, a firm that invests in patents through patent portfolio acquisitions, third-party litigation funding, and law firm financing.
Before joining West U, Michelle was the Director of Patent Investments at Validity Finance, a commercial litigation funder. At Validity, she sourced and diligenced numerous patent investments for approval and managed all investments involving claims of patent infringement.
Prior to joining Validity Finance, Michelle spent 10 years as a patent and trade secret litigator at Baker Botts, where she litigated more than 50 high-stakes IP cases in federal courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
