Lauren Reeder is the Judge of the 234th Judicial District Court in Harris County, where she presides over various civil matters. She has her undergraduate degree from New York University and her law degree from Harvard Law School. Before taking the bench in 2019, she had a commercial litigation practice at a large international law firm and a litigation boutique. She began her public service career as an Assistant District Attorney, where she first-chaired a variety of cases, including murders, sexual assaults, and aggravated robberies. She is on faculty for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and enjoys presenting and teaching trial lawyers novel and time-tested advocacy skills. When she is not at the courthouse, she enjoys indoor cycling classes, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Michael, and their two children.
