Dean Gresham is a Managing Director at Certum Group where he leads the company’s litigation asset management strategies, including claim monetization, affirmative asset recovery, and secondary market transactions.  Dean also oversees the investment committee for all the company’s risk transfer solutions, including judgment preservation and adverse judgment insurance, attorney’s fee WIP protection, litigation buyout insurance, and other bespoke solutions for companies facing the uncertainty of litigation. Through risk transfer, the Certum Group’s solutions provide certainty in the uncertain world of litigation.

Before joining Certum Group, Dean was a successful trial lawyer for more than 20 years handling complex commercial, catastrophic injury, qui tam, and class actions across the country. While practicing law, Dean litigated on both sides of the docket and developed a keen ability to analyze and assess legal risk from both the plaintiff’s and defendant’s unique perspectives.

In 2020, Dean was awarded the Elite Trial Lawyer of the Year award by the National Law Journal for his trailblazing work on a complicated wrongful adoption case. Dean is consistently chosen by his peers as a Texas SuperLawyer (Thomson Reuters 2005–2022), one of the Best Lawyers in Dallas (D Magazine 2009-2022), and one of Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Texas (The National Trial Lawyers Association 2011-2022).
